A couple of weekends ago we moved into the new house! We are absolutely LOVING it so far. It has been my dream come true to decorate a new house too. We are about 85% unpacked, but still have quite a few boxes shoved into the "to be one day nursery" and the garage. It's mostly stuff that we don't use or need right now that can wait. Its so fun to get so happy and excited to go home! :)
We've met most of the neighbors in our 6 house cul de sac. Everyone seems to be very nice and welcoming. We have two young families, two older ladies, and one older couple around us.
Going into to our house for the first time. The hubs is so traditional and romantic! I love this picture.
We had to take some before pictures with the house empty. Later on as the house gets more finished, I'll do a blog post on each "after" room. We've done a lot of painting, put in pot lights, hung lighting fixtures, moved cables around to put the TV in the bookshelves, and added crown molding in a room. There are still a few things on our to do list like finish out the garage, landscape the backyard, give the bookshelves a little face, and add shades to kitchen windows but that will come in time.
Here is somewhat of a house tour for you. I know I am missing the kitchen, master bath, and laundry room...sorry about that.

Love the kitchen nook! So charming!
Master Bedroom
Hallway bath. The old owners did such a good job updating the bathrooms and kitchen! I wouldn't have changed a thing! Well, except maybe a second sink in the master bath, but then I would have to compromise closet space and we are already at max capacity in there! Sharing a sink will help teach me patience and tolerance. ;)

The trampoline has since been taken away by the previous owners. Too bad I never had the chance to jump on it. Blake said he did for a second though...
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful house. We can't wait to have people over! Maybe we will have a house warming party...
