Vegas Tag-a-Long

This past weekend I got to tag a long with Blake to his annual ICSC conference in Vegas. We basically just went out a couple days early before most of the work stuff began.

 

 

We stayed at the Venetian, which was exciting because I had not stayed there before. The hotel itself is pretty gimmicky, but the rooms were super nice!

 

We were really excited to go out there on Friday and have a date night in Vegas. First stop...Tao for a drink!

 

 

We got to do a little gambling at my personal favorite slot machines, Wheel of Fortune. I turned $20 into $100. Not too shabby. Although, I managed to lose that pretty quickly in blackjack.

We then walked over to the Wynn for dinner at Bartoletta, an awesome Italian restaurant. We booked early so were lucky enough to get a table outside in a cabana. The weather was awesome, the view incredible, and the food was fabulous. They have an early and late seating, but since our flight got into Vegas later, we had to take the late seating...9:15 p.m. which means 11:15 p.m. Houston time. WE. WERE. STARVING!

We had such a great date night!

Saturday was the day most people from Blake's office arrived. We got to spend the day at the Encore pool, which was exactly what we were looking for...a bit of a party, but nothing too crazy.

There was this guy who kept us entertained the majority of the afternoon; just dancing away all by himself. Well, there was the guy with the mullet wig too.

 

We then met a couple of RK guys at the Cosmopolitan Chandelier Bar for a pre dinner drink. The Chandelier Bar is a three story bar that is inside of a giant chandelier. Pretty cool! No pics though.

 

Dinner was at a tapas restaurant at Aria. There were 10 of us and it was so fun!

We then headed back to the Wynn for a table at XS. Yep, we clubbed it up. Our table was actually a pool cabana since half of the club is outside by the pool. It was fun to be able to go into the club to dance for a while but then escape the madness and retreat to our cabana!

 

Kudos to Blake for being able to spend 5 nights in Vegas. Two is just about all I can handle. Vegas wears me out!
