Round Top Antique Weeks, oh how I love you. Last week my mom, sister, my mom's best friend, Donna, and I went up to Round Top for one of our biannual trips. To read about some of our usual stops see an older post on Round Top here. Here are a few things that I found interesting for one reason or another.
I just love this concrete top outdoor table. I have plans to one day get one for our backyard.
One of our favorite booths at Arbors.
Cool art gallery. I bought something from her last year.
I did buy these French sconces for my living room.
Here is the rest of the booth where I bought my sconces. Also at Arbors.
My sister bought these chairs for her outdoor table for their new patio. I just love them.
Moose anyone?
And then there was this hour long slice of heaven. At Arbors there is this tent that sells really high quality pillows, bedding, and linens. I am not kidding when I say it was like laying on a cloud. It was way too expensive for me, but oh my goodness it was glorious. Free margaritas too!
We are always trying to find good places for lunch when we go up there. We had never been to Scotty and Friends before and decided to try it out. It's a sit down and order place and the food was really good. We will for sure go back.
We wished it was better weather so we could sit outside.
And then there was the clock search. I am and have been in search of a Swedish clock that doesn't cost me my first born child. I just love love love them and want to put one in my dining room so very badly. BUT, they are expensive. First I saw this one. I liked it, but it was too expensive.
Then, I saw this beauty. It was more than the first, but it was so beautiful that I considered spending my personal savings account to get it. But then I would have had nothing left. This Swedish clock is from the mid 1700's and still had the original paint. I drool every time I see this picture. One day… one day.
One of the three kings? No, wait that's my sister. In no way are we making fun of Jesus, we just thought it was funny.
And doesn't everyone want their own bronze man stretching his inner thighs?
I did also buy this cement planter to put on my outdoor coffee table. I thought $40 was a steal. Now to figure out what to put in it that I won't be able to kill within the week.
Until September, Round Top.
