Short Ski Trip

A couple of weekends ago we went up to Durango with Todd and Christina for two days of skiing...or so we thought. While taxiing to the runway in Houston we got a notification from United that our connection was cancelled. The said they could get us to Durango first thing the next morning. HUGE bummer, but at least Christina has family in Denver so we wouldn't have to pay for a hotel room and we would get there with enough time to at least ski a half day. Wrong Again. Flight delayed for three hours in the morning so skiing that day was out all together. UNITED. IS. HORRIBLE. We did have a great time once we got there. Too bad it was such a short trip.

Free drinks at the United club.

When we got there a storm was rolling in, but we had to go get Todd and Christina's skis. It started to snow hard.

And harder.

Until we could barely see anything driving home.

The only picture we took of the four of us. I was just lazy at taking pictures all together on this trip.

The next morning we woke up to 44 back yard visitors. So many elk!

All the snow the day before made for some great skiing. Although, I think it was too much powder for me. I like 3 - 4 inches of fresh powder, not two feet! What made my ski day was that my favorite mountain lunch spot serves gluten free beer!

Until we meet again, Colorado.
