Lights in the Heights

This past weekend was Lights in the Heights. It's one of my favorite Christmas time activities. Basically, a neighborhood gets road blocked from 6:00 - 9:00 pm, and its a big street party with bands and all. Most of the houses in the neighborhood go all out with Christmas decor so it makes it really festive. This year it was much smaller than usual, but still a lot of fun. It was cold!

Okay, so there are lots of children at this event. Usually, parents will drag them in wagons or push them in strollers. However, those 20 somethings sans kiddos use wagons to tote their booze around. We acquired this wagon from the old homeowners of our house who left it in the back yard. It has super industrial wheels so we were able to take it "off roading" over curbs and grassy areas and such.

There are grinches...

And dogs with beer strapped to their backs.

We then stopped by a huge house party. We know someone that has a house right on the main drag of Lights in the Heights. House below. They had a band of their front porch for passerbys and all. It was so crowded. I hadn't been to a house party that crowded since college!

Fun Night!
