Cape Cod

This past weekend we made a quick trip out to Cape Cod for Perry and Maggie's wedding. We were supposed to head out to Boston on Wednesday to spend a couple of days there, but we made the last minute decision to skip Boston and head straight to the Cape on Friday because of work. Let me be the first to say that if you are going to vacation to Cape Cod, allow yourself AT LEAST three nights of being there. Traveling there from Houston is not easy. It was about a 13 hour travel day there and back. Ugh! Too much travel for not enough time there!

However, I did really enjoy Cape Cod while we were there. It was extremely nautical and picturesque. I would definitely say we were at the coast, and not at the beach.

Our hotel lobby.

We got there late on Friday, changed, and met friends at the bar of another hotel which I would highly recommend, The Chattham Bars Inn. It was stunning! On the way there, there were so many beautiful houses that I had to take a picture of one.

At the Chattham Bars Inn bar.  That night the wedding hosted an open bar for a couple of hours after the rehearsal dinner.

The next morning we walked down to the hotel's beach. I thought this sign was cute...

It was pretty chilly at the beach. I think the high this day was 71 degrees. So pretty though!

Love Blake and Carly!

We went to the pool for a little bit and then Blake and I went out for lunch. I just loved this light pole!

We found ourselves back at Chattham Bars Inn (we should have just stayed there) for lunch. This was our view at lunch. Not too shabby. I also had a pretty great bowl of crab bisque.

The lunch spot.

We then took a walk on the beach.

There were lots of big pretty houses!

The wedding was at Wychmere Beach Club and was beautiful!

Chirstina and Todd! Can't wait till St. Thomas in a couple of weeks!

After the ceremony Maggie and Perry rode by on boat! So cute!

Pregnant Carly is soooo adorable!

Loved her flower choices. Blue hydrangeas are my favorite. Really, any color hydrangeas!

Table 16! It was a great wedding complete with a lobster tail. It's crazy to think that we don't have another wedding lined up for Blake's friends at the moment. The only guys left are single and ready to mingle! :)
