Spring Break in the Mountains

The Argue clan headed to Durango for Spring Break this year. I was so excited to be able to ski since I hadn't been since sophomore year of college! It was fun to have the whole family up there for the first time.

Blake and I on the deck about to head to go skiing.

On the ski lift.

At the top of the Mountain. Durango Mountain (Purgatory) Ski Resort is perfect for us! I was worried that it was going to be a small dinky mountain, but it has 8 ski lifts which would take you a couple of days to ski the whole thing. The best part about it is that is isn't crowded at all. We never had to wait in line for a ski lift and you weren't constantly worrying that you were going to run into someone or that someone was going to run into you. It really isn't drivable from Denver, so you basically have to stay in Durango to ski the mountain. I loved it!

The best run of the day is the last run of the day when you get to have happy hour at the bottom of the mountain. :) It was about 50 degrees and wonderful. Spring skiing is the best.

So, there still isn't much furniture. We were pretty much camping out. There were mattresses and lamps and a few bedside tables, and TVs but not much else. This was our couch for the week! We had a folding card table to eat on. Haha!

Blake and I love hikes on vacation. We did a 45 minute hike to the highest point in Glacier club.

View down below. Our house is one of the ones lining the golf hole.

We went snowmobiling one day as well. Blake and I had never snowmobiled before. IT. WAS. AMAZING. Its like jet skiing, but way more fun because there are bumps and ups and downs. Blake did manage to get his stuck in the snow. He thinks the rest of us were wussies for not driving hard enough to get ours stuck.

Miller came snowmobiling with us and said "This is more fun than Disneyland!" Love that kid.

What a great family trip. Can't wait for the many more to come.
