Last weekend we headed to Galveston with my parents for a little weekend getaway. It was an awesome relaxing weekend. We went up early Saturday afternoon and had a drink and appetizers at Guido's. I had never been there before and I had heard a ton about it. It opened in 1911 and when we walked in it felt like I had gone back in time about 5 decades if that tells you anything. The food was really good though.

We went over to the Treemont for a pre-dinner cocktail. I absolutely love that hotel. Too bad it was booked when we made the hotel ressies. Here are my adorable parents at the Treemont Bar.
After the Treemont we headed to an fantastic dinner at Rudy and Paco's. It isn't well known with the tourists in Galveston, but it where a ton of locals go. My mom has a friend that lives in Galveston and she recommended it. After dinner we headed to a show at the old Theatre in downtown G-town.
Since we were staying at the Moody Gardens hotel, we decided to to the rainforest pyramid on Sunday morning. It was actually way cooler than I thought it was going to be. Monkeys, birds, butterflies, and all sorts of other animals were just roaming free. That is me looking up at a monkey. It kinda felt like Costa Rica all over again! Here a couple good pics Blake got.
