New Obsessions

Its 3:57 p.m. on a Friday afternoon and I have 33 minutes to kill before I can sneak out of the office a half an hour early. Therefore, you are lucky and get mindless thoughts from me and what new things I have been loving as of late.

1) My Fit Foods/Smart Meals - I got a couple living social deals a few months back for Smart Meals and just redeemed them a month or so ago. Ummmm, what have I been missing!?!? Not only is the food super healthy and fresh, but it is sooo good! If you know me, you know that I am one for super quick dinners, and oh my gosh I hit the jackpot. Everything is pre-cooked and ready to go, you just have to heat up the meal for a minute and a half. The reason I love this so much is because I used to be a big fan of lean cuisines and smart ones and such, but I got to the point where I was sick of all the processed, preservative and sodium filled food. This is like a lean cuisine BUT, it is a lot more food, super healthy fresh foods with no preservatives, and just all around wonderful. If you go make sure to get the bean and cheese burrito - a slice of guilt free Taco Bell heaven and the Cuban Chicken Mojo. The serving sizes are way more generous than a lean cuisine - in fact Blake can eat a dinner and be fine. The only downside is that they run around $10 a meal, but worth it for a dinner or so a week.

After I used my two Smart Meals gift certificates I strolled on in to My Fit Foods last week to see what I could grab for lunch. I may have found the best thing in the world...their chicken wheat wraps. While most of their other meals run around the same as Smart Meals, their half chicken wheat wrap is only $3.50!!! It comes with apple slices and orange slices, and is the perfect amount for a female for lunch. I get hungry about 3 hours later, but I like eating way better that way instead of larger meals that keep me fuller longer. So, last week and this week I bought three wraps, kept them in the fridge at work and ate them for lunch! I find myself super excited for lunch time! Try them out, the Gimme More Chicken Wrap also gets a two thumbs up. Lunch will never be boring again!
2) Tan Towels - I have used these every so often for the past year and a half or so, but I have stepped up my love for them a notch. I vowed that after my wedding I would never go to a tanning bed EVER AGAIN, I despise spray tans from tanning salons because my hands, feet, knees, and elbows turn orange, and although I do like the occasional airbrush tan, $60 is a bit much for all the time. Have no fear, Tan Towel to the rescue! You can get them at Sephora or Beautique Day Spa and they are amazing. You use one towelette for half of your body after you get out of the shower and in 6 hours or so you have a surprisingly natural looking not-too-dark tan.
First picture - lack of tan in February after months of no sunlight. Second picture - two weeks later after using the above said product, Tan Towels.

3) Restaurant.com - It is the bomb.com. Blake and I like to go out to eat - A LOT - especially on the weekends, but it has gotten so expensive. Solution? Restaurant.com. Example: I got a couple Cova $25 gift certificates for $3.00. Wine much? Yes, please!

  1. Love this post! I've been wanting to try My Fit Foods for a quick meal because I've heard the food is really good - but pricey like you said.
